Ripwood Livestock Auction Services LLC., is pleased to announce its partnership with The Celebration for the Spring Fling 2014 Colt Preview and Spring Selection Sale at the Calsonic Arena February 28th and March 1st, 2014.

On February 28th, 2014 Ripwood will be hosting its Spring Fling 2014 - Colt Preview and Party starting at 5:30 p.m.  Registration will begin at 4:00 p.m.  Also, on Saturday March 1st Ripwood will be hosting its Spring Fling 2014 - Spring Selection Sale starting at 10:00 a.m.  This is an open consignment sale.

A difference to this colt preview, Ripwood will also offer an option of “claiming” your colt.  Entries will pay a fee different from the standard colt preview entry fee and that colt can be bought during exhibition for specified amount given by owner or trainer.  Ripwood will announce this to the crowd beforehand.  If this colt is not bought on the 28th, then they also will have a paid entry for the next day’s Spring Selection Sale on Saturday March 1st.  “Our goal is to create some different types of previews and sales to help our customers and try to create some new excitement in our industry compared to sales in the past,” stated Andy Rippy.  Ripwood will also throw another twist into the mix, they will break each age group into 2 sections: two-year-old stallions, geldings and mares and three-year-old stallions, geldings and mares. A payback will be offered to the colt that sells for the most amount of money per section during this event.
This preview will be open to Walking, Racking, and Spotted horses, from performance to pleasure. “We want to create an environment of unity between our different organizations, the horse these different organizations show and sell is still a Tennessee Walking Horse and we all have to come together to support our breed,” stated Andy Rippy.

Following the Colt Preview, the fun will continue at 8:00 p.m., with a live band, Shelby Lee Lowe.  This band is located in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and has hometown roots so please come out and support them.  The band will be sponsored that night by Windermere Farms, Dr. William and Jannie Chapman.
During both days of Spring Fling 2014, Ripwood will be offering stud fees from some of the top stallions in our industry at silent auction and a few for live auction as well.  All money raised from the stud fees will go directly to the Celebration Youth Scholarship Fund.  The silent auction for both days will be sponsored by Rising Star Ranch Stallions.

“This could be one of the biggest sales events this industry has seen in years and will be a great way to kick of the show season with the Trainers’ Show just two weeks away,” stated Woody Woodruff.
