Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Brantley Wright, age 86, of Manchester will be conducted at 12 Noon, Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Brantley officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the Wright family will be Thursday, August 28, from 5pm until 9pm at Manchester Funeral Home. Mrs. Wright passed this life Monday, August 25, at the United Regional Medical Center in Manchester.

Mrs. Wright was born in the Noah Community, the daughter of the late John French Brantley and Mary Graham Wilson Brantley. She was a homemaker and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Manchester. As a citizen of Manchester, Mrs. Wright was a leader and volunteer in the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, the Manchester Recreation Commission, the Band Boosters, community baseball and girls softball programs, and was a charter member of the “Dig’n Dream Garden Club”, the Jaycee’s Shooting Education Program, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved horses, especially Tennessee Walking Horses of which her family has a long history as pioneers of the breed, was active in the “Keep Coffee County Beautiful” Program, and received the “Rocky Award”. Mrs. Wright was also involved in the Methodist Women Organization. She received several awards for the promotion of Flat Shod Tennessee Walking Horses. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wright was also preceded in death by two brothers, John French Brantley, Jr., and James Thomas Brantley. Mrs. Wright is survived by:
