Walking Horse owner and exhibitor, Chad Spencer is the head women’s basketball coach at Moore County High School. Spencer led his Raiderette team to the Class 1A State Championship game earlier this year, finishing as the runner-up.
As a result of the accomplishment which included both the District and Region championships Spencer was named the Basketball Coaches Association of Tennessee Pat Summit Coach of the Year for division A basketball. This award came on top of Spencer also winning District Coach of the Year.
Spencer is an avid exhibitor in the Walking Horse industry and was a world champion and reserve world grand champion at the 2023 Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration with This Is Who I Am in the owner/amateur country pleasure division.
