Spirit’s Amazing Grace passed away February 24, 2015 due to complications of a respiratory illness.  She was foaled in 1994 and raised on the farm of Robert Keenan in Franklin, Tenn., and discovered by Mr. Bud Seaton, as a yearling.

Royce and Ann Marie Couch purchased the filly as a wedding anniversary gift that would keep giving joy for over 20 years. Seaton started her training and first show before he was critically injured by another horse.

"Gracie" moved to Knox  Blackburn Stables where she continued her career as a Performance, Pleasure, trail and broodmare, doing everything she was asked, from canter to fine harness to pleasure driving. Kirk Seaton worked with her in 2004 in her Pleasure classes, winning several blue ribbons.

Her spirit and temperament was a pleasure to enjoy and she became the “first horse” for many children to sit on or ride for the first time.  Gracie won many ribbons, trophies  and one floral horseshoe. Her last show in July 2014 at the Money Tree Classic, where she placed at 20 years of age.  She was truly the horse that could do everything and do it well. She was much loved by everyone who spent time with her and will forever be at Knox Blackburn Stables .

The Couch family would like to thank Knox, Papa, Dr. Tony and Brian for doing everything to care for her, during her illness and passing.
