Josh Carlock, son of Cliff and Mary Ann Carlock and grandson of Brenda and Ernest Upton, was seriously injured in a single car accident on May 15 in Shelbyville, Tenn. Carlock remains in intensive care at Vanderbilt Hospital, but he has regained consciousness. While he remains on a ventilator part of the time, his condition continues to improve. He is responsive to voice commands although he cannot speak due to a broken jaw. He is able to use his limbs, and while he is not “out of the woods” his family is very encouraged by his progress.
