I read your editorial about the stake class and agree with most of what you said. However, the statement about Seve being a “magnificent example for this breed,” I can hardly agree with. I agree that the horse is a good example in the flat foot walk and the running walk and conformation judging. The canter gait shown by Seve is hardly magnificent. In the preliminary class, the horse would not canter and was very weak in the canter on Championship night. I have been attending the Celebration for some 40 years now and I am afraid that we are seeing the breed go to a two-gaited horse instead of the three-gaited that I have seen all my life.

Keep up the good work on keeping all the walking horse fans like myself informed.
