Rising Star Ranch Welcomes Dr. Mike Harry

Rising Star Ranch is pleased to welcome Dr. Mike Harry as the breeding manager and resident veterinarian starting September 1. Dr. Harry recently completed a brief rotation for 2006 thoroughbred breeding and training season in Ocala, Fla. Dr. Harry hopes to continue and expand upon the breeding program currently at Rising Star Ranch. He will announce his stallion lineup and staff in the near future. The future of the TWH breeding industry will be a challenge for stallion and mare owners alike. Our goal is to work together to help ensure that this challenge is met.

We appreciate all the work David Williams did in establishing our breeding program. We wish David the best of luck in his future endeavors.

Trump Executive Order gives agencies discretion to postpone effective dates
President Donald J. Trump signed multiple executive orders yesterday, one of which could apply to the Horse Protection rule set to go into effect February 1, 2025. In his executive order President Trump allows agencies, including USDA, to postpone rules already published in the Federal Register for further review prior to their effective date.
