Roger Latham Memorial Saturday schedule clarification

The Pleasure Racking Class at the Roger Latham Memorial Racking Show on Saturday night, August 10, will be optional tack.

Celebration announces splits

The Celebration has just announced the classes it will split for the upcoming Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration, which kicks off Aug. 21 and runs through Aug. 31. Ten classes have been split with A and B divisions and one class, the Two-Year-Old Walking Stallions, will have three sections.

Final stretch to Celebration; numbers are up!

Despite a tumultuous few weeks in the walking horse business, numbers were released today indicating positive trends within the industry. The official numbers for the 2019 Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration have been released, and the total is 2047, which is up slightly from 2018.

North Carolina Championship selects judges

The North Carolina Championship Walking Horse Show, scheduled for Oct. 3-5, has selected Rollie Beard, Chris Bobo, and Jason Hughes to mark the cards for this year's event. The show will be held at the WNC Ag Center in Fletcher, North Carolina.

The Wartrace Horse Show found an error on their original class schedule. Class 24 Amateur Novice is for horses and riders who have not won a blue in 2019.

Obituary – Gary Brewington

Funeral services for Gary Howard Brewington, age 69, of Cookeville, were held Tuesday July 30 at Washington Avenue Baptist Church with Blake Pierce and Rev. Mark Gaw officiating. Gary passed away Saturday July 27, 2019 at Signature Health Care of Putnam County.
