As we move into colder weather and the Christmas season, the Bedford County schools focus on making sure that students and their families have what they need. Each year, the Christmas Angels program provides Christmas gifts and support to students and their families during the holidays. 

Now for the second year, with the help of generous donations from several Walking Horse organizations, individuals and the community, the Thomas Magnet Middle School BETA Club will participate in the Christmas Angels program by shopping for, buying, and wrapping presents for 34 students from Bedford County Schools. This has became a very rewarding service project for the Thomas Magnet middle school BETA members and has given them an opportunity to help those in need. The goal is for BETA club members to learn budgeting and financial decision-making skills as well as encouraging empathy and consideration for others to ultimately support the Christmas Angel Program.
