Academy Program Growing By Leaps and Bounds

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The first of the four TWHBEA Winter Tournaments began Saturday, Jan. 24 with 97 academy riders taking to the show ring at Highland Stables for a friendly competition. Numbers were up considerably from last year's total of 60 exhibitors. Joni Jenne’, TWHBEA performance show/youth coordinator, said that the numbers exceeded all expectations and that they were absolutely thrilled with the turnout of exhibitors and spectators. Started in 2002, the growth in the academy program has been truly amazing. Waterfall Farm will host the next two tournaments Feb. 14 and Feb. 28 in Shelbyville, Tenn., and Highland Stables will also host the last tournament March 13.
