SPARTA, Tenn. - The White County Fair Open To The World Horse Show was held on Saturday evening, Sept. 12, 2009, at the White County Fairgrounds in Sparta, Tenn. Joe Cotten of Rockvale, Tenn., evaluated the 29 classes of contenders. Vic Gernt was master of ceremonies, Greg Cravens was the show chairman and Pat Cravens was the show secretary.
Although the Stake class was small in numbers, the three horses that competed had enough talent to fill the ring and to excite those in attendance. When the performance ended, trainer Todd Claborn and his exciting black stallion, All American Made, were called to the winner’s circle. All American Made is owned by Beverly Sherman.
Reserve in the class went to Stretch Armstrong and Sonny Holt for Cass and Spiller of Shelbyville, Tenn. Rounding out third place was Jerry Beaty and I’m On Edge for Susan Paul of Monroe, Ga.
