Applications For Riders Cup Due March 19th
Friday, March 4, 2011
The deadline for WHTA member trainers to sign up for the 2011 Riders' Cup is March 19, 2011, the last day of the 2011 National Trainers' Show. There is no fee for trainers to participate in the program but an application must be filled out. All trainers must also be members in good standing with the WHTA.
The 2011 Riders' Cup is shaping up to be one of the best in the history of the program. All 10 divisions in the program are sponsored, a first since the split into 10 divisions, totaling $25,000 in sponsorship.
All horse shows are urged to participate in the program to increase entries in their horse shows. Shows must pay a $100 affiliation fee with the Riders' Cup program but do not have to offer increased prize monies or class sponsorships. Horse shows can affiliate with the WHTA Riders' Cup regardless of which HIO affiliation they choose.
