Billie Joe Hays and Silver Dollar Standard Win Walking Stake Specialty

MOREHEAD, Ky. – The MSU Cheerleaders held their second annual horse show at the Morehead State University. One hundred and sixty-five entries braved the 30-degree temperatures and the rain to support the show. Billie Joe Hays claimed the honors in the Walking Stake Specialty with Silver Dollar Standard for Bonnie McCoy.

The show had a three-judge system with four judges on the panel, alternation one person out each class. The judges, Jerry Goodman, Steve Woody, Eddie Ray Davis and Jimmy Norris, donated their time and services to the cheerleaders.

The Vest family raffle was another event at the show. Announcements were made of the winners of the stud fees and miscellaneous items. Congratulations to Brian Richert of Science Hill, Ky., on winning the full-page black and white ad from the Walking Horse Report donated to the raffle.
