The Report has recently learned of the passing of master showman and trainer, Billy Gray. Gray was a pioneer in many ways of the walking horse industry. Gray alongside his son Tim prepared countless champions over several decades.
Gray is a legend and deserving of the title. He credits Delight’s Bummin’ Around, the 1973 World Grand Champion, with placing him on the map and the road to success.
Some of the other most notable champions that Gray has directed to championships are Pride’s Secret Threat, Delight Of Pride, Pride’s Night Prowler, He’s Outlaw Josey Wales, JFK and He’s Puttin On The Ritz.
Gray always went in the right aiming to win, but even when he didn’t he was a true sportsman.
