The Walking Horse Report has received notice that Billy Gray has settled his six-year-old Horse Protection Act case with the United States Department of Agriculture. Gray will be on suspension from September 2006 until September 2009.
"We are very grateful that the matters were able to be resolved and are now concluded," said Gray's Shelbyville attorney John Norton.
Gray's suspension results from two different cases. Horse Protection Act docket number 01-C022 will start September 3, 2007 through September 2, 208. Horse Protection Act docket number 01-0030 will start September 3, 2006 through September 2, 2007. Gray will also serve an additional year due to past offenses. His entire suspension term will run September 2006 through September 2009.
