Birth Announcement - James Robert "Eli" Smith

James Robert "Eli" smith was born on November 11, 2011, at the Harrison memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, Ky. to proud parents Jessie and Nikkie Smith of Carlisle, Ky. Eli weighed 8lbs., 8 oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long.
Proud grandparents are Tony and Barbara Gribbins of Raywick, KY. and Bert and Peggy Manire of Shelbyville, Tenn. Eli was also welcomed into the world by big brother Jeremy Archer of Shelbyville, Tenn. Jessie Smith is a trainer for the Vice Family of 3 V Stables in Carlisle, Ky. Both mother and baby are at home and well.

The United States Department of Agriculture proposed a rule on August 20, 2023 that would have devastating impacts to the Tennessee Walking Horse, Racking Horse and Spotted Saddle Horse. The North Carolina Championship is scheduled for October 5-7, at the Western North Carolina Ag Center in Fletcher, North Carolina. Brent Grider, Newton Parks and Amy Trimble were the original slate of judges. Due to recently being diagnosed with covid, Newton Parks is no longer able to judge the show and Johnny Puckett will now take Parks’ place on the panel.
