Brogdon Recovering After Fall
Tuesday, September 1, 2009
Well-known world champion rider, Ben Brogdon, suffered from a fall in the warm-up ring at The Celebration Friday night while preparing to show. Brogdon was taken by ambulance to Heritage Medical Center in Shelbyville, Tenn. After a series of tests and x-rays it was determined that Brogdon had broken ribs as well as a lung contusion. On Sunday, Brogdon was experiencing some heart issues and was transferred to Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
After a conversation with Brogdon’s wife, Dr. Lynda Brogdon, The Report has learned that Ben has been stable for the past 24 hours and was up for the first time this morning. He is still sore from the broken ribs and muscular damage from the fall, but is doing much better.
Ben is hopeful to be discharged later today. The Brogdon family is appreciative for all the calls, thoughts and prayers from their walking horse family. They also want to wish everyone good luck at The Celebration.
