In a continued positive trend, The Celebration will have more horses competing at the 80th Annual Celebration. In 2018, 1,179 different horses entered versus 1,138 in 2017, a 3.6% increase. Preliminary entry figures show a 1.3% decrease over last year. The Celebration entry office received 2,040 entries as compared to 2,067 in 2017.

“It is very positive that we are seeing another year of increasing numbers of unique horses vying for World Championship honors. From the total entry aspect it appears the horses and riders are focusing more on a specific class of choice rather than multiple options as in the past.  Looking at the specific entry sheets what is clear is the quality and depth of talent by class will be simply outstanding.  It is going to be extremely competitive and exciting to watch.” said Celebration Chief Executive Officer Mike Inman.

The 80th annual Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration will be held Aug. 22 through Sept. 1. For more information visit The Celebration at twhnc.com.
