SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration Board of Directors has released the following statement regarding the National Horse Protection Society.
“The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration supports the efforts of the National Horse Protection Society and endorses its current Mission Statement regarding their Tennessee Walking Horse Advisory Committee.
The Celebration strongly supports the recommendations of the Advisory Committee regarding the implementation of a steward program and the placing of a licensed veterinarian in the inspection area at horse shows and sales.
The Celebration is committed to working with all responsible industry organizations in a unified effort to further improve the soundness and appearance of the Tennessee Walking Horse.”
