Celebration Mule Show Celebrates 20 Years

Getting Ready to Show…Jim Mahoney of West Jefferson, Ohio, prepares his hitch to participate in the 20th Annual Great Celebration Mule and Donkey Show. The event starts Thursday in Calsonic Arena.

The Great Celebration Mule and Donkey Show enters into its 20th year July 8-10 at Calsonic Arena. “The event has evolved into one of the largest and finest mule and donkey shows held in the United States,” says Celebration CEO Dr. Doyle Meadows. Dr. Meadows indicates that Bedford County benefits from over one-half of a million dollars in direct spending from the 3-day mule and donkey extravaganza. The show features over 200 classes and provides approximately $30,000 in prizes and premium money. The mule and donkey show has classes for large and small, gaited and non-gaited mules and donkeys.
