Celebration Street Parties, Music In The Plaza
Saturday, August 23, 2008
SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration will be hosting five post-show street parties during the world championship horse show. There will be one karaoke night and four live band parties. These five parties will take place in the outdoor warm-up ring, beginning at the end of the nightly performance and go for two hours. In addition, there will be live music in Celebration Plaza each night prior to the show.
“We’re really happy to be able to do this,” said Celebration CEO Dr. Doyle Meadows. “It should enhance the festival atmosphere on the Grounds during the show. Directors Henry Hulan, III, John T. Bobo, Pat Marsh, Association Members Christy Parsons, Tommy Anderton, and Connie Nixon of our staff have worked very hard on the street parties while Chip Walters has put together the music in the plaza.”
