Cotten and More Of The Major Take Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The 48th annual Murfreesboro Exchange Club Horse Show was held June 28, 2008, at Old Fort Park with 168 entries. Sam Sorrell of Lexington, Ky., judged the 30 classes.
The Ferguson Farms Riders’ Cup Championship Stake class was won by Joe Cotten for Jim and Judy Leek. Santana’s Supernatural and Mickey McCormick were reserve in the class for Bill and Alice Russell. Superior Generator Threat and Tommy Loid rounded out the top three for L.E. Walton.
David Landrum Stables topped the blue ribbon tally with three blues while Bobo Farms, Finish Line Farms, Laurie Toone of Circle T Stables and Chad Williams Stables earned two blues each. The remaining blues were won by Nelms Training Facility, Mark West Stables, Jason Day Stables, Bryan Clark, Kenny Lawrence, Rae Martin Stables, Tommy Loid Stables, Pollack’s Silver Spur Ranch, Dickie Scrivner of Tan View Farms, Wink Groover, Rollie Beard Stables, Derickson Training Facility, Tory Kelley, Allan Callaway Stables, Brandon Stout Stables, Riverbend Stables and John Harney of Stonewall Farm.
