Dangerous Backdraft and Curtis Ray Collin Win at New London

NEW LONDON, Va. - The Virginia Walking & Racking Horse Owners’ Association was held June 20, 2009, at the New London Ruritan Club Horse Show grounds. Judge Mike Conley took on the duties of marking the 49-class event that included 30 walking horse classes. Show Manager Lynn Williams reported 259 entries for the show. The show was affiliated with NCWHS, VWHOA and the Shenandoah Valley Horsemen’s Association.

The Walking Stake featured four entries. After calling for a second running walk, Dangerous Backdraft and Curtis Ray Collins were awarded the floral horseshoe and other first place prizes. J.W. Hanks from Athens, Tenn., is the proud owner. Ronald Mosley and Licensed To Chill were named the reserve champions for owners Griggs and Ziglar. Eric Johnson and Jubilee Cobra were awarded the third place honors.
