by Lauren Hawks-Abernathy

SAVANNAH, Tenn. - With good weather, good people and good horses, nothing is better than being at a horse show. The Savannah Lions Club hosted its annual walking horse show Friday, June 19, 2009. Trainers from Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee came to this 26-class event. Hal Newman traveled from Shelbyville, Tenn., to serve as the judge. Blue ribbons were won by Abernathy Stables, Dockery Stables, Falcon Ridge Farm, Formac Stables, Stanfill Stables, Southern Serenity Ranch, Swingin’ Gate Stables, White Oak Farm, Woods Stables, Wright Stables and others.
