The Delta Fall Classic will now be the final triple-point Riders’ Cup show of the season. Previously, the Walking Horse Trainers’ Association had awarded triple-point designation to the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration and the Celebration Fall Classic. The triple-point designation of the Fall Classic came about as a result of The Celebration sponsoring the Riders’ Cup Stake division.
The Delta Fall Classic later announced they would sponsor the Riders’ Cup Three-Year-Old Stallions division, thus opening the door to be a triple-point Riders’ Cup show. The Walking Horse Trainers’ Association Board of Directors voted last week to make a change to the schedule and award the triple-point designation to the Delta Fall Classic.
The Delta Fall Classic will be held in Tunica, Miss. on November 11-13, 2010.
