Dragonfly and Jimmy McConnell beat a small but talented group of horses to win the Gulf Coast Charity Classic Horse Show last night in Panama City, Florida.  This marks the third consecutive year that Dragonfly and Jimmy have won at this early season test having won the Three-Year-Old Classic in 2003, the Four-Year-Old Class and Four-Year-Old Amateur Stallion Class with Mary Medina riding in 2004 and the Walking Horse Championship this year.

This horse is owned by Bob and Mary Medina and is quickly establishing himself as a major factor in the list of contenders for the World Grand Championship.  McConnell used a victory here last year on The Black Night Shade as a spring board to winning it all at The Celebration and this horse is displaying the same kind of talent.

Reserve in the five horse class was Larry Edwards on The Golden Sovereign for the McSwain family while The Santini and Jackie McConnell gave the first two all they could handle in tying third for the East family.
