World Champion and World Grand Champion Bad News Debut lost his battle with pleurisy Tuesday, March 23, 2010. He was owned and shown for most of his career by the Arthur Gordon family under the direction of Russ Thompson Stables. At the time of his death Bob and Caroline Torres owned him.

Bad News Debut was named the first Super Horse in 1993. He also captured the World Grand Championship in 1993 and another Super Horse Award in 1995.
