Equine Obituary – Cash In My Stock
Thursday, October 3, 2019
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of WGC Cash In My Stock at the age of 28. Cash was humanely laid to rest on September 27, 2019, after a prolonged illness.
Cash was born and raised on Dotson Brothers Farm in Franklin, TN. Charles Gleghorn recognized the great talent of Cash and purchased him from Jesse Dotson.
Cash began his show career for the Gleghorn family under the tutelage of Layne Leverette. In 1999 under the direction of Steve Aymett, Cash won his first WC in 15.2 Stallions. Cash was then moved back home to Brookhaven Stables and trained by Brett Boyd who directed Cash to the WC and WGC 15.2 & Under. The following year he was WC and RWGC Amateur 15.2 & Under with Charles Gleghorn under the direction of Brett Boyd.
After a successful show career, it was decided to retire Cash and have him join the premier lineup of stallions at Waterfall Farms under the care of Dr. Mike Harry.
Eventually the decision was made to bring Cash home to stand at stud at Brookhaven Stables. Cash would spend his remaining years at Brookhaven being cared for by Brett Boyd and Christen Lovvorn. Cash will be greatly missed.
