Equine Obituary – Cut A Rug

World Champion Cut A Rug, age 22, was laid to rest at Bottoms Stables on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Cut A Rug started his show ring career under the direction of Jimmy McConnell at Formac Stables, for owners Bob and Mary Medina. While at Formac Stables, Cut A Rug and McConnell won the Four-Year Gelding World Championship.  Cut A Rug was later purchased by Kyle Bush and spent many successful years in the show ring under the direction of Scott Beaty Stables and Michael Burton Stables.  In 2015, Cut A Rug and Chloe Casteel teamed up for the Youth 11 and Under division. He will be deeply missed.
