The legendary Coin's Dixie Darling was humanely laid to rest this past week at Franklin Equine Services in Franklin, Tenn., under the care of Dr. Tony Kimmons. The legendary champion was 26 years old. This talented mare made a name for herself years ago as she collected more the 10 World Chamiponship titles under the direction of Jackie McConnell Stables. Carol Roach of Memphis, Tenn. owned the great mare.
Not only did her list include many World Championship titles, but she also won shows from Little Rock, Ark. to Baton Rouge as well as the International, Spring Fun Show, Columbia and the Trainers' Show, just to name a few.
Coin's Dixie Darling spent the last seven years of her life at the Franklin Equine Clinic in a large paddock area. She will be sadly missed by all of those who were fortunate enough to know this timeless champion.
