MADISON, Ga. - Three-time World Champion Gold Record passed away on April 11, 2011, at the age of 29 years. This talented mare was owned and loved by Jimmie and Vivian Reddy. She has won virtually every major show in the nation with various riders. In 1984, Gold Record was the Two-Year-Old Mares Reserve World Champion with trainer Jackie McConnell aboard. She earned two more world championships under his guidance as the 1985 World Champion Three-Year-Old Mare and the 1986 World Champion Four-Year-Old Mare. Karen Callaway made some excellent Celebration rides with her winning two more titles, the 1989 World Champion Ladies Auxiliary Horse and the 1991 Ladies Auxiliary Reserve World Champion when she was trained by Allan Callaway Stables. Allan Callaway also won many blues with Gold Record, as did owners Vivian and Jimmie Reddy.

This much loved mare was laid to rest at Reddy’s Farm in Madison, Ga., and will long be remembered as one of the great mares of the Walking Horse industry.
