Jazz's Blue Note died of colic on March 23, 2011 at Jerry Williams Stables in Shelbyville, Tenn. The gelding was foaled on May 12, 2001, by A Jazz Man out of a Pushover mare.  Campaigned by Jeff Willis in his three-year-old year for owners Dr. David and Mandy Berg, Blue Note garnered blues at the Smith County and Rickman Saddle Club Horse Shows, reserve at the Tony Rice Show and North Carolina Championships. Blue Note and Willis finished fourth in the B division of the Three-Year-Old Stallion division at the Celebration, among other top placings throughout 2004.

Jerry Williams began training Blue Note in 2006 for daughter, Amber Williams. The gelding was more than just a horse, but a member of the family and always Amber's favorite.

He was owned, loved and will be sadly missed by Amber Williams of Shelbyville, Tenn.
