Equine Obituary – Sloe Gen Jose'
Saturday, April 11, 2020
World and Reserve World Champion Sloe Gen Jose’ passed away suddenly on April 10, 2020. The seven-year-old stallion was owned by LaRue, Ann and Bart McWaters of Triple M Farm and was a favorite at Legacy Stables. Sired by Jose’ Jose’ and out of a Pride’s Generator mare, Sloe Gen Jose’ was a big horse with a big heart, a gentle giant.
He began is show career winning the Amateur Two-Year-Old class at the Phenix City horse show with Bart McWaters aboard in 2015. Throughout his show career he made victory passes with Bart and LaRue McWaters as well as Tim Smith. 2019 was yet another fantastic season for the stallion as he and Bart made trips to the winner’s circle at the Columbia Spring Jubilee and the Alabama Jubilee. The highlight of their season was winning the Novice Gentlemen on Novice Stallions World Championship at the Celebration. The McWaters and Smith Families are heartbroken over the loss of such an incredible horse.
The Report extends their sympathies.
