Equine Obituary - Spirit's Bright Beam

Spirit’s Bright Beam, affectionately known as Lightning,  passed away on Friday November 30, 2007. He was owned and loved by Caryl and Stephanie Rose. He was most well known for his days in the  Youth Walking Pony division with Stephanie aboard under the direction of Ramsey Bullington Stables. He was the 1997 Juvenile Pony 12-14  World Champion, 1998 WHOA High Point Juvenile Pony, North Carolina Championships Youth Pony Champion, International Grand Championships Youth Pony Champion, and many more. He was in the top five each time showed at the Celebration.

“Lightning was a once in a lifetime horse for me. He always gave me his all and tried his best. There could never be a horse to replace him, his ability or his personality. He will forever be missed,” said Stephanie.

Following his show-ring career, Lightning stepped into the Academy ranks flat-shod and continued making dreams come true with Yvonne Griffith in the irons and won several blues. Caryl and Stephanie would like to express their thanks to Bruce and Nancy Lovato for taking care of Lightning in his final days.
