Equine Obituary – Sweeps Final Score
Wednesday, March 8, 2023
Sweeps Final Score, affectionately known as Cornbread, was humanely laid to rest on January 6, 2023, due to complications with colic. He was surrounded by friends and family that loved him dearly. Cornbread was bred by Larry Wheelon and purchased by the Dwight Brooks family as a yearling. He had many accomplishments throughout his show career and was a successful breeding stallion. Cornbread was a soulful horse that loved life, whether it be the excitement of the show ring, watching his offspring ride by his stall or greeting everyone that walked in the barn. He was the foundation of Summer Hills Farm and a once in a lifetime horse. He will be greatly missed.
