FAST donates to Bedford Cancer Foundation
Monday, January 4, 2021
The Foundation for the Advancement and Support of the Tennessee Walking Show Horse (FAST) recently submitted a check to the Bedford Cancer Foundation for $600. The donation comes from the entry fees from the Red Ladies’ Amateur Mare & Gelding class at the FAST Showcase horse show held in November.
The class name is in memory of Kathy Zeis who passed away in September of 2019. Zeis was instrumental in the formation of FAST and gave so much of her time, effort and energy in creating the foundation that has done so much to support the show horse.
In addition to Zeis, this year’s donation is also in memory of Christy Kakassy who passed in October of this year. Kakassy was a board member of FAST and had served on numerous other associations to promote the Tennessee Walking Horse.
FAST is a 501(c)3 charitable organization designed to support and preserve the Tennessee Walking Show Horse. Over the last 10 years FAST has contributed more than $2 million dollars to the industry to serve its missions.
