DALLAS, N.C. - The North Carolina Ladies Auxiliary show was held on May 16, 2009, at Biggerstaff Park in Dallas, N.C. Jeff Green of Shelbyville, Tenn., traveled to North Carolina to judge the 129 entries in the 31-class show. The show was affiliated with KWHA, NCWHA and VWHA.
Proceeds from the show go to support Oak Ranch, a residential ranch program for children that is a part of Baptist Children’s Homes. The equine therapy is a vital component to the ranch experience provided for the at-risk children between the ages 8-17.
The show ended on a high note with four entries in the Open Stake class. It seemed quite appropriate that Gen’s Orange Lady and Ronald Mosley won the Ladies Auxiliary show. The floral horseshoe was even made of orange and yellow roses. I’m John Bull, with Anthony Moore in the irons, was the reserve champion, and Allen Abee directed JFK’s Veto Power to the yellow ribbon.
