Members of the Georgia Walking Horse Ladies Auxiliary, Inc. are in preparation for their Sixth Annual Georgia Walking Horse Ladies Auxiliary Horse Show. The show is planned for July 20, 2002, at Chicopee Woods Agri-Center in Gainesville, Georgia. The show will be comprised of 34 classes and Leigh Bennett of Alvaton, Kentucky, will judge the event which starts at 5:00 p.m.

This show has been voted “ Georgia Show of the Year” for the years of 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000 by the members of the Georgia Walking Horse Exhibitors’ Association at their annual banquet in each of those years.

Membership is open to all ladies 18 years of age and older who have an interest and love of the Tennessee Walking Horse. The ladies promote the breed, lend excitement, and also enhance the versatility so prominent in the Tennessee Walking Horse.

Vendors and concessions will be available on the show grounds. Admission is $5 at the gate with children under 12 admitted free of charge.

The Good Shepherd Therapeutic Riding Center in Warm Springs, Georgia, is the voted “charity of choice” of the Georgia Walking Horse Ladies Auxiliary, and they receive funds as a result of the horse show efforts by the ladies.
