Groover To Judge Mule Show

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – World Grand Champion rider Wink Groover has signed on to judge the gaited mule classes at the 15th Annual Great Celebration Mule and Donkey Show, July 6-8, in Shelbyville.
Groover, one of the most popular personalities in the Tennessee Walking Horse industry, guided Ace’s Sensation to the World Grand Championship at the 1970 Celebration. Groover’s flamboyant style in the show ring made him a crowd favorite wherever he went.
Groover is a highly-respected judge and has adjudicated shows from coast to coast, including the 2000 Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration.
“We’re very lucky to get a judge with Wink’s credentials and experience,” said Mary Lynn Reed, Entry Office Manager. “Our exhibitors will have a wonderful time showing their mules in front of him.”
Now in retirement, Groover and his wife Nancy, live in Longview, TX. They still own several talented show horses and the successful breeding sire, Hard Texas Cash.
