To HARD to Stay Away On This COLD Night



Chestnut Hill fairgrounds was the place to be Saturday night Nov 6. For the FIRST ANNUAL EAST TENNESSEE WALKING HORSE TRAINERS SHOW.It was a cold night but that did not keep the trainers or the fans away with 185 entries for the evening.Show manager Lisa Anderson stated, ”Everything went extremely smooth,the money raised will help to start some great funds for the trainers and the youth of ETWHA.There was some excellent horses there and some of the best food around .I heard lots of people say it was the best show in East Tennessee this year.We hope to have it around this time next year only possibly inside. “

Organist for the evening was Jo Simerly & Scott Helton was announcer .Judging the 27 classes for the evening was Howard Hamilton,Ceder Grove,Tn The first class for the night was Walking Weanling Open with Ella Kline and Walking For Real,walking away with the blue for CL Kline Farms,taking reserve was Ben Blessing and Its Raining Cash for What A Blessing Farms

Owner Tyler Buchanan and Call Me Lucky Cash took the victory ride in the Walking 11&Under,with Doc's HIgh Noon and Brandon Givens for Joe and Mitzie Robinson to reserve.

The Two Year Old Open class saw Tim Wheelon and Macks Eliminator for The Don Markum family eliminating all the rest for the blue. Bustin Special and Ronnie Campbell rode to reserve for Campbell and Williams.Vickie Hughes Grindstaff and Fantazmic Cash went to the winners circle in the ETWHA Ladies Auxiliary for the Farrell Hughes family , and Jan Crawford owner of Silver Designs Entertainer went home with the red.

Next was the Two Year Old Amateur Walking with The Jewel Collector and Owner Danny Cotter taking the blue and Uptown Generator and Linda Hafly taking reserve for Dan & Linda Hafly Charlie Green and Music In The sky went in for a blue ribbon ride for John Eldridge, Jeff Givens with Bold Scream to reserve for Stembridge & Veniot. Pushen out all the rest was Brandon Derrick & Pushers Loose cash for Bobby Silvers In Walking Pony Riders 17 & Under.Taking reserve was Zacharey Bunch and Naturally for the Dennis Bunch family. Lite Shod Open Spec. Saw Jeff Givens and Calvine Klein Obsession to the winners circle for Donald Knight,and taking reserve was Wired 440 & Mike Conley for Larkin and Kim Turner.

Walking Open Specialty saw the final decision going to Final Escapade and Charlie Green for the blue for Joe Christmas Jr.The red ribbon went home with Tim Smith and This Pusher is Armed for Jamie Etheredge The next mount came in shining like a star with Jack Morgan and Star of Sundance taking the blue for Jack and Betty Morgan in the Men's Amateur Spec. Walking . The red going to I'm Bustin Out and owner Brad Spivey.

The Park Pleasure Open Specialty went to Jeff Givens and Gen's Sundancer for Shane Hastings,and reserve going to Its Pushin A Score and Ronnie Tabor for Tabor & Jenkins.

The next class was "HOT" but there could only be one winner and that was Vickie Hughes Grindstaff and Too Hot To Be Busted taking the Three Year Old Amateur Walking for The Farrell Hughes Family.Reserve went to Bustin Loose and owner Brad Spivey.

Three Year Old Mares And Geldings Open saw Chris Pickle and Cashes Velvet Lady Taking the winning ride for Earnest Peoples.Taking home the Red was Silver Maker and Charlie Green for Bob and Luanne Sigman . Open Trail Pleasure went to none other than Ruth Tudor & I'm Just Jesse for Larry and Ruth Tudor.reserve in the class went to Coppertops Miss Rachel & Owner Tracie Fuller.Yes Sir Boss came in and dominated the Three Year Old Walking Stallion Open with Steve Bridges in the Iron's for Johnny Sapp.The red ribbon went to Irresistible Cash ridden by Paul Livingston for Charles McSpadden . Walking 15.2& Under seen Steve Woody & Extra Expense to the Blue For BH Hodge.Reserve in the class went to Pushers Classified and Jeff Givens for Hutson &Loughry.

Zacharey Bunch and Sunrises Miracle Man came in for a award winning ride for David Arnurius in the Juvenile 12-17 Walking Spec.Skywatches Starry Night and Nathan Rouse took home the red ribbon for Mike & Janice King .

There was nothing secretive about the next team as owner Dana Kyte and Private Terms came in and took home the blue in the Amateur Owned and Trained.Going home with reserve was Ebs Timless Pride and Tim Smith for Tim and Melanie Smith. ETWHA Members Amateur Specialty saw the dynamic duo of Prides Prime Stat and Rusty Carlton to the winners circle for Jamie Holbrook,and taking home reserve was Vickie Hughes Grindstaff & Fantazmic Cash for The Farrell Hughes Family.

In Walking Yearlings Open 2003 Foals A Wise Storm with Ben Blessing and Dynamite Doll and Herchel Blessing took home the first and second place for What A Blessing Farms.

Crown Royal and Jacquelyn Elliott went for the royal ride for Jack Heffington in the Four-Year-Old Walking Amateur Spec .Taking home reserve was Vickie Hughes Grindstaff & Sweepover For Koger & Johnson.

Wired No Doubt and Jack Heffington took the blue in the Amateur Spec.Walking Novice Riders.Reserve honors went to Second Copy and Bronwyn Julian for Richard Julian. Country Pleasure Open Spec.winners were Ruth Tudor and Post Marked First Class for Smith and Tudor.Go Boys Dillon and Beth Patty took the reserve for Terry Patty. The 17 & Under Park Pleasure saw Skyline and Lacey Campbell taking the winning ride for the Nat Campbell Family,Rusty Carlton and Ultra Executive took reserve for Gail Conley. Sue Irby took the blue ribbon ride in Ladies Amateur Spec. Walking for Frank Columbo.Taking reserve was Steppin and Melissa Britt for Tony and Melissa Britt.

Pushers Dangerous Shadow and Jeff Givens went to the winners circle for Harry & Barbara Sullins.second was Patterns Royal Affair & Paul Livingston for Paul and Julia Livingston.

As the final class of the ETWHT Grand Championship evening, was called to the ring with nine entries making the call.It had been a cold hard night for most,but not for this talented team .For in the end it could go to none other than one of East Tennessee own The Cold Hard Truth And Paul Livingston taking the blue ribbon ride and the roses for Charles McSpadden.Reserve in the class went to Collectors Mr.Twister & Tim Wheelon for Nancy Elliott.
