Hardin Hosts Barn Party

DESOTO, Mo. - Anne Hardin Stables of DeSoto, Mo., invited the HAWHA membership to its annual pig roast and barn party. The turnout was one of the largest the barn has hosted. Host Anne Hardin, her family and customers did a great job in making the plans and preparing the barn for the event. The weather was perfect and everyone enjoyed sitting in the sun and watching the show put on by the trainers, as well as Hardin, who brought horses to the farm.
Several people who had never been to Hardin’s stable left with a new appreciation for the roads and the distance Hardin and her crew have to drive to make it to the majority of shows held in Missouri as she is located in a “somewhat” remote area of the state. Although the scenery is beautiful with the dogwoods in bloom, the location challenged even the best of the Garmins.
With show season starting in the Midwest area just next week, this preview was good for the dozen or so colts and older horses that may be new to the show ring. The hospitality, camaraderie and the food prepared by those in attendance made it well worth the drive. A big thank you goes out to Anne Hardin and her barn for hosting this event.
