On Tuesday, February 16, 2016 House Bill 2189, introduced by Rep. Judd Matheny of Tullahoma, passed the sub-committee referred to Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee.  The bill and its counterpart in the state senate, SB 2332, introduced by Senator Jim Tracy of Shelbyville, if passed will allow animal owners to record inspections of their animals.

At Tennessee Walking Horse shows, USDA officials at times will not allow cameras in the inspection areas or owners to film the inspections of their horses.  This law would specify in Tennessee those owners would have the right to film the inspections of their horses.
