He’s Outlaw Josey Wales was humanely put down the morning of Friday July 7, at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Ky. This two-time world champion was suffering from an inoperable bone cyst that was causing intense pain.

He was owned by Carol Ann and Larry McLaughlin of Effingham, S.C., at the time of his death. Successfully shown under the direction of Billy Gray at Southern Comfort Training Center, Outlaw had also been standing at Summit Stallions.

His most recent win came this year at the Manchester Horse Show where he carried Billy Gray to the Walking Horse Stake Championship.
