The House of Representatives voted 304-111 last night in favor of the PAST Act (H.R. 5441). Six of the nine representatives in Tennessee voted against the PAST Act last night. The two Democrats, Steve Cohen and Jim Cooper, along with Republican Tim Burchett voted in favor of the PAST Act. 

In Kentucky all five of the Republicans voted against the PAST Act while Democrat John Yarmuth was a no vote. In Mississippi, all three Republicans voted against the PAST Act while Democrat Bennie Thompson voted in favor. In Alabama, five of the six Republican voted against the PAST Act while the sole Democrat Terri Sewell and Republican Mike Rogers voted in favor.

In Georgia, all six Democrats voted in favor of the PAST Act. Seven of the eight Republicans voted against the PAST Act with Buddy Carter the only Republican voting in favor. If you take the fives states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia, in total 26 of the 39 (67%) representatives voted against the PAST Act and the devastating impacts it will have on the Tennessee Walking Horse, Racking Horse and Spotted Saddle Horse. If you take just the Republicans in those states, 26 of 29 members, or 90%, voted against the PAST Act.
