LIBERTY, Ky. - The Casey County Fair and Horse Show was held on July 24 and 25, 2009, in Liberty, Ky. The racking classes were held on Friday and the walking classes were held on Saturday. Grover Hatton of Union, Ky., judged the 33-class event on Saturday.
Brent Grider rode to the six-entry Walking Stake title through a downpour with high winds aboard Santana’s Hurricane. This team has blown through the winner’s circle in three different cities this season.
J & H Stables claimed four blues for the night, dominating the two-year-old divisions and claiming the Three-Year-Old Amateur title as well. McQuerry Stables of Harrodsburg, Ky., and Tommy Loid Stables of Bowling Green, Ky., captured three blues during the show.
