Due to the number of entries being received, the American National Insurance Maiden will run two splits and a final.

Wednesday, August 12th will feature two splits of the class, each containing 50% of the total entries, giving trainers the opportunity to show multiple horses. The first two splits will not be tied.

The top half of each split will be invited back for The Finals on Thursday, August 13th at 4:00pm. Ribbons, awards, and purse money will be awarded in The Finals on Thursday culminating with the crowning of the 2020 American National Insurance Maiden Champion.

“The Maiden” is the class reserved for two year old trail pleasure horses that have never been shown under saddle. The inaugural running of The Maiden in 2019 paid out $7,200 in purse money and another $10,000 in awards and trophies to the 15 horses shown. In 2019 The Maiden proved to be a force within the Tennessee Walking Horse industry.
