Important - Call To Action

The Performance Show Horse Association (PSHA) released the following news release today.

To the Walking Horse Family,

A serious threat to our horse has arisen. Senator Ayotte is attempting to attach S1406 to the Senate Agricultural Appropriations Bill. This must be stopped.

YOUR PARTICIPATION AND ACTION ARE VITAL

It has come to our attention that Senator Ayotte will be filing to attach the PAST ACT to the Senate Ag Appropriations Bill. This is a serious move. While we blocked the attachment earlier to the House Ag Bill, the Senate has less stringent attachment rules. If this bill goes through attached to the Senate Appropriations Bill, it will be difficult to stop.

THIS IS A REAL THREAT TO THE EXISTENCE OF THE WALKING HORSE INDUSTRY. ALL HANDS ON DECK!!

WE NEED YOU TO CALL EVERY SENATOR...... WE NEED YOU TO EMAIL ALL THAT YOU CAN AND FAX ALL OF THEM.

GET ON TWITTER AND TWEET EVERY SENATOR....

IF YOU HAVE ANY POLITICAL CONNECTIONS USE THEM......

WHAT TO SAY.. READ THE STATEMENT BELOW TO THE SENATOR'S OFFICE, EMAIL IT, FAX IT.....

I understand that Sen. Ayotte and Sen. Warner will try and push their bill (S. 1406) through the Senate as an amendment to the Senate Agriculture Appropriations bill. This bill would eliminate the walking horse industry, would eliminate 20,000 jobs and would eliminate 3 billion in economic activity. It turns over everything in the industry to the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of
Justice and will cost taxpayers a considerable amount. This is a Humane Society bill and it furthers their radical agenda and I and my family hope that Senator ___________ will not support this amendment.

I cannot stress how vital your participation in this call to action is. It literally is a matter of life and death. You all know the consequences it this bill passes.  There will be no more Performance horse.  All weighted shoes (that is all flat and padded) and action devices will be outlawed. The Federal Government can walk into your PRIVATE barn anytime. These are the consequences of inaction......

Thank You for the time you will take to save your horse, your industry and your way of life.....
