COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - The Putnam County Open Walking Horse Show was held on Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Putnam County Fairgrounds in Cookeville, Tenn.
Entries, owners and spectators had the luxury of a rare cool, crisp August evening to add to their enjoyment of the show.

Ronal Young traveled from Shelbyville, Tenn., to mark the cards for the approximately 138 entries in their respective classes. Livingston, Tenn.’s own WLIV Radio Announcer Drew Huffines was the master of ceremonies.

Although only two entries made the gate call for the Walking Stake, both were talented individuals. When Judge Young turned his card in, it was Jeff Givens aboard the Jo Ann Dowell owned property, Incredible, who was called to center ring. The good Charmed And Dangerous and trainer Drew Graves picked up the red ribbon for the Joe Burton family of Morristown.
