Mr. James K. Dixon Jr, better known as Jim Dixon, died on Saturday July 8, 2006 in Murfreesboro, Tn.

He was born August 30, 1942 in Burlington, NC. He spent the majority of his adult life as a Professional Horse Photographer, where he owned a business in Shelbyville, Tn. He was known as the best photographer in the Walking Horse business. He also spent his last 25 years researching Baseball mechanics for pitching and hitting. He published a book "Exceptional Player" and a video on Pitching and Hitting Mechanics, which is said to be 25 years ahead of it's time.

He is survived by his parents, Nora May and J. Kirk Dixon, as well as a brother, Roy Dixon and a sister, Nancy Dixon all of Burlington, NC; surviving children are a son, Sean married to Elizabeth Dixon of Christiana, Tn; daughter, Renee married to Dwayne Lambe of Snow Camp, NC; son, Wesley Dixon of Wilmington, NC; daughter, Heidi married to Jody Fisher of San Jose, CA.

A private memorial service by the family will be held.
