John R. Lindahl, long time owner and supporter of the Tennessee Walking Horse and The Celebration, died earlier this week.  He was 83.  He was co-founder of State Industries, the world's largest manufacturer of residential and commercial water heaters.  He sold the company in 2001.

John R. was one of the most popular owners and campaigned many great horses during his active time in the horse industry.  Citing a need for a place for owners to relax during the long night's of the show, he donated the Blue Ribbon Circle Club to the Celebration.

There will be an invitation only Memorial Service Friday at his Cheap Hill, Tennessee residence.  A Celebration of his life will be open to the public at his residence on July 29, his birthday.  Mr. Lindahl's body was cremated.
